YouTube for iOS now higher resolution

Google has published an update for YouTube app, designed for mobile devices that run the iOS operating system.

After installing the update, iPhone users received the ability to view video in higher resolution. Before the iPhone smartphones with a display size of 5.5 inches lost videos in resolution up to 1440p, and the rest is up to 720p.

Now smartphones with a screen diagonal of 4.7 inches can play videos at resolutions up to 1440p, four-inch iPhone up to 1080p. Video rate of 60 fps is still limited to the resolution of 1080p, while on devices that are running Android already have the ability to play videos in resolution of 1440p at 60 fps.
