Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, Lenovo, Gionee took more than 50% of the Indian smartphone market
Last month Morgan Stanley said that in 2018, India will become the second largest smartphone market after China and ahead of USA.
Analytical company Сanalys released data on smartphone sales in India in the second quarter, noting that they decreased by 4% to 27 million units. The leader is Samsung, which owns 25% of the market.
Followed by Chinese producers, the second place is Xiaomi, whose sales for the year increased four times to 4.8 million units. Third place with a score of 3.4 million smartphones keeps Vivo, followed by Oppo, Lenovo and Gionee.
Chinese manufacturers Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, Lenovo and Gionee has been able to occupy more than 50% of the Indian smartphone market in the second quarter.
If the trend continues in the foreseeable future Xiaomi could be ahead of Samsung, becoming the leader in this market.
