While there is still hope that the manufacturers will support the new Intel CPU on the existing motherboard

A few days ago, ASRock has confirmed concerns regarding the fact that processors Coffee Lake cannot be used with motherboards based on Intel chipsets 200.

And this despite the fact that the architectural data from the actual CPU of the current generation seriously will not be different. It is possible to hope that some manufacturers still solve the compatibility problem on their own.

Now that hope had reason. One of the users of the Reddit platform after the recent update the BIOS of my Asus motherboards, based on chipset Intel Z270, saw the following:

This does not mean that now this Board is ready to take the upcoming Intel CPU, however allows hope for a BIOS update.

However, let’s not forget that Intel is negatively and dramatically refers to the various initiatives of its partners, which are contrary to its own policies.
