WhatsApp could launch its own mobile payment service
WhatsApp — world’s most popular instant messenger, active user base that exceeds 1 billion people. Suffice it to say that in 2014, Facebook bought WhatsApp for a crazy $ 19 billion.
The current reality is that different projects of the IT market need to constantly develop. And that often means going beyond the basic field of activity. On the WhatsApp website has information on job openings related to digital transactions. An additional reference of the banking sector has led to the fact that the thematic resources concluded that WhatsApp is preparing to launch its mobile-payment service.
The position is open to India, so initially this service, if we are still on it, will be launched on this market. Presumably, this will service peer-to-peer based transaction interbank payment system UPI, supported by the Indian government.
