Western Digital promises to begin deliveries of a consumer SSD on a 64-layer flash memory 3D NAND in the third quarter
To Computex 2017 Western Digital has timed the announcement of SSD drives, which is a world first among consumer SSDS use a 64-layer flash memory 3D NAND. The supply of these drives, the manufacturer promises to begin in the third quarter.
New items will be known as the WD Blue 3D NAND SATA SSD and SanDisk SSD Ultra 3D. The advantages of these drives are assigned lower power consumption and improved productivity, the increased volume and resource.
WD Blue hard drives SATA SSD 3D NAND will be offered with a capacity of 250 GB, 500 GB, 1 TB and 2 TB. Customers will be able to choose the device size 2.5 inches thickness 7 mm or drives size M. 2 2280 with double-sided placement of components.
The SanDisk Ultra SSD 3D is scheduled to release in the same volume, but only in the size 2.5 inches. Their thickness will also be equal to 7 mm.
Speed read and write for sequential access to the declared reaches 560 and 530 MB/s. the Manufacturer will provide for new storage three-year warranty. Prices start at $100.
