Western Digital has introduced a personal storage My Cloud Home

Western Digital has introduced a new centralized personal storage with auto backup, My Cloud Home.


Western Digital hopes that the My Cloud Home will be a single solution for storing all of the data presented on your computers, tablets, smartphones, external drives, as well as accounts in social networks and other information.


The contents of My Cloud Home will be available from any device connected to the Network, using the My Cloud app Home. Since this is local storage, users will not have to pay to use it monthly fee.


My Cloud Home can be set to automatically copy content from your computers and mobile devices, and data synchronization with other cloud services, including Dropbox. TV shows and movies that are stored on My Cloud Home, you can watch using the Plex apps.


Stored on your My Cloud Home will be available with storage capacity of 2, 3, 4, 6 and 8 TB for the price of 160, 180, 200, 260 and 320 dollars respectively. Will also be asked storage My Cloud Home Duo in versions 4, 8, 12 and 16 TB of mirrored hard drives (RAID 1) at a price of 310, 400, 550 and 700 dollars respectively.
