Vladimir Putin has signed a decree banning anonymity Network

In the «strategy of information society development in the Russian Federation for the years 2017-2030″, the text of which is available on the Kremlin website, said banning anonymity on the Internet. The document was signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Within six months the Cabinet of Ministers will have to engage traditional media and the settlement of similar services, by which is meant social networks, news aggregators, Internet TV, messenger.

The document proposes to introduce measures prohibiting anonymity on the Internet and «irresponsibility and impunity» of Network users. Simultaneously, it is planned the creation of a system that would guarantee the safety of users and confidentiality of their information.

The authors of the strategy argue that it was created for «the formation of Russian information space tailored to the needs of citizens and companies in obtaining quality and reliable information».

October 1, 2017 should be a system of protection of the Russian infrastructure from hacker attacks, and developed measures that will allow government bodies to switch to domestic encryption.
