Uber fired a former Google engineer who stole from the search giant’s technology related to Autonomous cars
At the beginning of the year, the company Waymo has filed a lawsuit against Uber, accusing the theft of technology. A couple of weeks ago, the court found Uber guilty, forbidding to use these same technologies for LIDAR systems, and at the same time made until end of the month to return the stolen materials.
Judging by the fact that without serious fines and bans, Uber got off lightly. But this does not apply to Anthony Lewandowski (Anthony Levandowski) — the former Google employee, who stole classified information. The company fired him.
Given the fact that Lewandowski was one of the leading engineers working on technologies for Autonomous cars, Uber is also not the easy loss.
