Toshiba introduced a 64-layer chip flash memory 3D NAND BiCS 64 GB

Toshiba introduced the flash memory chips BiCS surround layout consisting of 64 layers. The new chips allow you to store 512 GB (64 GB) information. Each cell can store three bits (TLC NAND).

New memory chips will be used to create solid-state drives aimed at consumer and industrial segments. The first supply Toshiba promises to begin before the end of the month, and mass production scheduled for the second half of the year.

The next step in the plans is the issue of the decision of 1 TB, consisting of 16 chips BiCS in one package. The first samples of such products will appear in April.
