The trade deficit of Romania increased in September
As imports grew faster than exports, the trade balance deficit of Romania in September rose compared to the previous year, as evidenced by data from the State statistics Institute showed Thursday.
The trade deficit rose to 1.02 billion euros in September from 782,5 million euros in the same month last year. In August, the deficit was 1.06 billion euros.
Exports in September increased by 6.0% yoy, while imports increased by 9.2%.
During the first nine months of this year, total trade deficit of the country is made up of 8.89 billion euros relative of 6.93 billion euros in the corresponding period of 2016.
