The share of Apple had 92% of the profits of the smartphone market last quarter. Sony and BlackBerry, surprisingly, was also profitable
According to the sources, citing an analyst at Canaccord Genuity, in the last quarter, Apple took 18% of the smartphone market in quantitative terms. But if we talk about the profits in the smartphone market, then Apple, as always, ahead of the rest.
The share of copertina accounted for 92% of the profits of the smartphone market in the fourth quarter of 2016. However, when compared with the previous quarter, when Apple took 106% profit, the rate significantly decreased.
But if Apple’s success in this matter is no longer surprised, that some other company really showed unexpected results. For example, Sony has earned a 1% profit of smartphone market, although sales of the devices the Japanese company have been declining. What is even more unexpected, is the result of BlackBerry. Despite the meager sales, and formal withdrawal from the market, the share of Canadians had less than 1% of the profits. Another 9% of the profits earned by Samsung. But Microsoft and LG source was attached to unprofitable companies.
