The semiconductor market grew only 1.5%

Gartner estimated the market for semiconductor solutions at the end of last year. They came to the conclusion that in monetary terms, it rose by only 1.5%, reaching 339,7 billion.

The revenue of top 25 companies in this segment grew by 7.9% and amounted to 75.9 percent of total revenue.

Largest semiconductor manufacturer Intel remains, which is 15.9 per cent. Last year it made 54 billion dollars, increasing the rate of 4.5%. In second place is Samsung with a share of 11.8%, revenue 40.1 billion dollars and a growth of 6.1%. The honorable third place is Qualcomm. It made 15.4 billion dollars, occupying 4.5% of the market, but the worsening of the index for the year by 4.5%.

Next is SK Hynix (14.3 billion dollars, 4.2% of the market, a decline of 12.9%), Broadcom (13.1 billion dollars, a 3.9% market growth 152,1%), Micron Technology (12.5 billion dollars, 3.7 percent of the market, a decline of 8.9%), Texas Instruments (11.8 billion dollars, 3.5% of the market, growth of 2.1%), Toshiba (10.1 billion dollars, 3% of the market, growth by 9.7%), NXP (9.2 billion dollars, 2.7% of the market, rising by 40.1%) and MediaTek (8.7 billion dollars, 2.6 percent of the market, rising by 29.7%).

As you can see, changes in performance relative to last year is very different. Leaders it is often relatively small fluctuations, but there are exceptions.
