The sale of Samsung tablets in Western Europe for the year grew by 17.9%, tablets Apple — decreased by 11.5%

Experts of analytical company IDC has summed up the first quarter of 2017 in the Western European tablet market. According to analysts ‘ estimates, the year tablet sales in Western Europe decreased by 1.7%. Market volume in physical terms amounted to 7.1 million devices.

At the same time, in the segment of devices with a detachable keyboard recorded growth of 5.8%. Especially noticeable — 16.6% — increased sales of these tablets in the corporate segment. Analysts note the growth of sales of devices with Android OS and iOS while decreasing the interest of buyers to models with Windows.

The market leader is Samsung, which share for the year increased by 22.1% to 26.5%. In second place is Apple, whose share for the year decreased from 24.1% to 21.7%. Closes the top three, Lenovo, which share for the year were little changed for the quarter is 7.7%.

It remains to add that for tablets at IDC include portable computers, battery-powered, are equipped with a colour screen size from 7 to 16 inches, including having a detachable keyboard.
