The rate of inflation in Greece eased in October
Greece inflation eased in October and reached the lowest level this year, as evidenced by data from the Statistical office of Greece, published on Thursday.
Consumer prices in October rose 0.7% yoy, slower than the 1% in September.
The figure was the weakest in the current sequence of growth which began in January.
On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose only 0.1 percent, after rising 1.9 percent in September. The price increase was the second consecutive month.
The harmonised indicator of the EU in Greece in October halved from 1% in September to 0.5%. On a monthly basis, the harmonized index of consumer prices fell 0.1%, reversing direction after rising 1.2% in September.
