The Raspberry Pi Foundation is teaming up with CoderDojo
Microcomputer Raspberry Pi has quickly gained popularity among electronics enthusiasts because of its features and affordable price. It can serve as a good basis to start learning about the hardware and software parts of embedded systems. Obviously, the wide dissemination of the Raspberry Pi in an educational environment would already entrenched in her partner. As it became known, such a partner was found: the Raspberry Pi Foundation plans to team up with CoderDojo.
CoderDojo is an organization dedicated to teaching programming. It works through volunteer organized clubs for children and teenagers. According to estimates CoderDojo, in 69 countries, operates more than 1250 clubs that bring together more than 35 000 participants.
Note that the Raspberry Pi Foundation has a similar program of teaching programming, implemented through a network of Code clubs Club, joined the Raspberry Pi Foundation in 2015.
According to the Director, Raspberry Pi Foundation plans to move the center of gravity with the release of new models of microcomputer software development.
