The OLED displays for the Apple iPhone 8 cost $120-130, while the iPhone 7 Plus screen costs about $50

At the moment the only supplier of new OLED displays for another unannounced smartphone, the iPhone 8 is the South Korean company Samsung.


Judging from the information that spread in the Network, Samsung is actively using his position as Apple to pay for new screens much more than the modules for the previous generation of their smartphones.


KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo (Ming-Chi Kuo) claims that Apple pays Samsung for each module OLED for iPhone 8 from 120 to 130 dollars. When Apple buys LCD displays with a diagonal of 5.5 inches for the iPhone 7 Plus at the price from 45 to $ 55 per item from different suppliers.



Ming-Chi Kuo affirms that Apple is doing everything in order to diversify the supply of screens for new smartphones, as quickly as possible expanding the list of suppliers.


Next year the supply of OLED panels for Apple have to start LG.
