The number of applications for unemployment in U.S. above forecasts

The number of initial claims for unemployment benefits in the U.S. rose more than economists expected for the week ending November 4, according to a report released by the labor Department on Thursday.

According to the report, the number of initial claims rose to 239 000, 10 000 higher than non revised figure of last week in the amount of 229 000. Economists had expected growth to 231 000.
