The notebook market grew in annual terms by 6.1%
Analysts at TrendForce claim that in the first quarter of the current year the market was supplied 37,81 million laptops that corresponds to a reduction of 15.6% QoQ. But per annum — a growth of 6.1%. Moreover, in the current quarter also expected to increase by 1-3% in annual terms.
The market leader was the company HP, which could increase the supply on an impressive 18.9 per cent. In the end, the manufacturer sold of 8.62 million mobile PCs. Lenovo has retained the second spot, which is the fourth consecutive quarter. The Chinese company has sold 8 million devices, having increased the rate by 1.6%. Dell rounded out the top three with 5.4 million sold notebooks, which is 18.7% lower than a year earlier.
Also noteworthy is Apple, which took the fifth place, failing to realize 3.4 million laptops, 15.4% more than in the first quarter of last year.
