The new generation of Asus ZenFone smartphone can get SoC MediaTek

As for the next few months, almost all single-chip system Snapdragon 835 will be supplied to Samsung (more of the orders went to Xiaomi), and other manufacturers have to wait or choose the other options.

As reported by DigiTimes, Asus is planning to begin using the system on a chip MediaTek for their flagship smartphones ZenFone. If Asus will line up for those who are waiting for Snapdragon 835, its new smartphone may be delayed until mid-summer. The next generation of iPhone will appear on the market in September and can significantly impair the sales of the new Asus ZenFone, if they come out with a delay.

Sources believe that one of the initiators of the partnership between Lenovo and MediaTek is one of the new MediaTek Directors Rick Tsai (Rick Tsai), who was previously head of Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) has a great relationship with the leadership of the Asus.
