The iPhone 8 is credited with the ability to recognize faces and gestures of users
Cowen and Company analyst Timothy Arcuri (Timothy Arcuri) claims that the new smartphone iPhone 8 can obtain the face recognition technology and/or user gestures.
The ability to recognize the user’s face will be implemented with the help of laser and infrared sensors, which will be near the front camera. Earlier, sources from the supply chain reported the scanner of the iris, which can appear in the iPhone 8.
These new features will allow Apple to safely abandon the fingerprint sensor Touch ID. As for gesture recognition, theoretically a user can control applications, for example, to adjust the volume without touching the display.
The announcement of the iPhone 8 is expected in September 2017.
