The Intel platform Basin Falls will be presented at Computex 2017
Confirming previously published information, the source reported that Intel will introduce a platform Basin Falls at Computex 2017. This event will be held in Taipei from 30 may to 3 June.
The Intel platform Basin Falls includes a set of system logic X299 and processors Skylake-X and Kaby Lake-X in the performance of Socket R4 (LGA 2066).
Earlier it was expected that this platform will be released in early August. At the same time to the earlier period — from the beginning of 2018 August 2017 — shifted output of the CPU microarchitecture Coffee Lake. The first system on the platform Basin Falls will be presented at a gaming Expo E3 at the end of June.
Initially, a series Skylake-X will include processors with 6, 8 and 10 cores and a TDP of 140 watts. In August will be added to the 12-core model. Series Kaby Lake-X includes a CPU with 4 cores and a TDP 112 watts.
