The Intel platform Basin Falls will be presented at Computex 2017

Confirming previously published information, the source reported that Intel will introduce a platform Basin Falls at Computex 2017. This event will be held in Taipei from 30 may to 3 June.

The Intel platform Basin Falls includes a set of system logic X299 and processors Skylake-X and Kaby Lake-X in the performance of Socket R4 (LGA 2066).

Earlier it was expected that this platform will be released in early August. At the same time to the earlier period — from the beginning of 2018 August 2017 — shifted output of the CPU microarchitecture Coffee Lake. According to Taiwanese industry representatives, the transfer caused by the release of processors AMD Ryzen Ryzen 7 and 5.

The first system on the platform Basin Falls will be presented at a gaming Expo E3 at the end of June.

Initially, a series Skylake-X will include processors with 6, 8 and 10 cores and a TDP of 140 watts. In August will be added to the 12-core model. Series Kaby Lake-X includes a CPU with 4 cores and a TDP 112 watts.

As for 14-nanometer processors Coffee Lake for August, scheduled for release several models of Intel Core i7, i5 and i3 with the index K, and Z370 chipset. Additional models of CPU and chipsets H370, B360 and H310 will see the light at the end of this year or early next.
