The GeForce GTX 1080 Ti got the same PCB, and the Titan X, but it has more components

A few days ago Nvidia introduced its most productive consumer graphics card, the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti. It is based on the GPU GP102 and contains 3584 CUDA kernel.

But the manufacturer has a similar map presented last summer. This model Titan X. It is based on the same graphic processor, but contains more blocks ROP (96 vs 88), she has a wider memory bus (384 vs category 352) and more memory (12 GB to 11 GB). The new adapter works at high frequencies, and costs almost half.

As it turned out, GeForce GTX 1080 Ti also uses the printed circuit Board of an older sister. The following image shows that the Board do the same, but there are differences in the availability of some electronic components.

Interestingly that PCB GeForce GTX 1080 Ti is even better as it contains components that are missing in Titan X. as for the GPU, the full marking looks like this: GP102-350-K1-A1, whereas the Titan X is GP102-400.

Overall, for the average user GTX 1080 Ti is almost a complete copy of the very expensive Titan X and the higher frequency should allow the new to show even greater levels of performance in games. As for the difference in memory size, in absolute terms, the volume is too large both boosters to the difference in 1 GB had at least some influence in the games.
