The flagship LG smartphone will get a display diagonal of 5.7 inches resolution QHD+ with an aspect ratio of 18:9
The company LG Display announced the launch of a new liquid crystal display for its next flagship smartphone. Obviously, we are talking about the smartphone LG G6.
The display is 5.7 inches, this is the first panel for mobile devices which has aspect ratio of 18:9 (why not 2:1, manufacturer does not specify). The display resolution is 1440 x 2880, it is called QHD+. I should add that also indicate the resolution of 3200 x 1800 devices with an aspect ratio of 16:9, but the smartphone is not among them.
The panel has a density of 564 pixels per inch. An elongated display needs to find new application scenarios thanks to multi-window mode that debuted in the Android operating system 7.0.
Proprietary technology LG inTOUCH responsible for the slow response on click and allows to reduce the thickness and weight of the display. In addition, the frame around the display is only 0.2 and 0.54 mm.
The brightness of the new screen needs to be 10% higher than that of LCD displays with QHD resolution, and its power consumption reduced by 30%.
Previously, LG confirmed that the smartphone LG G6 will not be modular.
