The FAA proposes to ban the carrying of cameras and other electronic devices in Luggage
The Federal office of civil aviation USA (FAA) conducted tests and concluded that Li-ion batteries of electronic devices are a source of danger when carried in baggage compartments of aircraft. They can cause a fire to deal with that on-Board fire suppression system will not. It’s enough that the battery is heated above a certain temperature, and there was aerosol can with a flammable substance such as hairspray.
The Agency encourages all airlines to prohibit the carriage of cameras, laptops and other electronic devices in the Luggage. In other words, to make a mandatory requirement to be carried in hand Luggage.
International civil aviation organization (ICAO) plans to discuss the proposal the FAA in the near future.
