The division of the Alphabet set up a joint venture with Sanofi for the solution of the problem of diabetes

Google has repeatedly shown its interest in the medical segment. Another step by the search giant in this direction was the establishment of a joint venture with Sanofi.

To be precise, the question of joint venture companies Sanofi and Verily Life Sciences, a subsidiary of the Alphabet. SP will be called Onduo and its main task is to tackle the problem of diabetes. As stated in the press release, the newly formed company will develop comprehensive solutions, combining certain devices, and services.

This, of course, not talking about the treatment of millions of patients with this disease, but at least Onduo will deal with technologies of control of blood sugar levels. One option is to develop a tiny implantable sensor that will allow you to avoid the constant blood samples.

It is expected that Onduo will launch its first product in the next 2-3 years, although did not specify what it is. It is worth noting that the cooperation Sanofri with Google began last year, but without the formation of the joint venture.
