The controller Phison E12 is designed to operate in high speed SSD

Along with E8 controller for low-cost NVMe SSD size M. 2, the company plans to release Phison controllers E12 and S12.

Controller E12 is equipped with a PCIe x4 interface and supports the NVMe Protocol. The advantages of E12 can be attributed to the sequential read speed of 3200 MB/s, sequential read speed of 3,000 MB/s and a capacity of 600 000 IOPS on operations with random access.

The S12 model is designed for SSDS with SATA 6 GB/s. This explains that her speed sequential read and write only reach 550 and 530 MB/s respectively. Maximum performance in the read mode random access is 100,000 IOPS in recording mode — 90 000 IOPS.

Both controllers are compatible with memory 3D NAND MLC, TLC and QLC, having eight channels with memory, and support LDPC, SmartECC and End-to-End DPP.
