The company Wistron, which supplies components for Apple, wants to expand manufacture in India

The company Wistron, which manufactures components for smartphones, has requested permission from Indian authorities to expand the factory in Bangalore. Among the customers of the Taiwanese company is Apple.

The news that Wistron wants to expand production in India, came just two weeks after the Wall Street Journal reported that Apple is in talks about production in India.

Although Wistron and not pointed directly to the Apple’s success in negotiations with the Indian government, they can be seen as a confirmation that talks have taken place.

Indian smartphone market is one of the largest in the world. Apple products is less than 2% of this market.
