The cloud infrastructure market grew by a quarter, but the leaders showed a decline in sales
IDC analysts say that the second quarter global sales of infrastructure products (servers, storage and switches) in the cloud solutions segment increased by 25.8% in annual terms, reaching $ 12.3 billion.
In just the past four years this indicator has grown almost three times. If we talk only about the segment of private solutions, the revenue increased by 34.1%, to 8.7 billion dollars.
Sales of enterprise storage systems increased by 30.4%, amounting to almost a third of total revenues in the segment of public cloud solutions.
The market leader is Dell, which helped in the market of 1.46 billion dollars, which corresponds to a decrease of 5%. Hewlett Packard Enterprise together with the New H3C Group took second place with an index of 1.37 billion dollars, but it also corresponds to a decrease of 5%. But all the other players have significantly increased their sales.
Cisco’s revenue amounted to $ 1 billion, an increase of 14.3%, Huawei won 380 million dollars, having increased the rate by 30.2%, while Inspur, the proceeds of which amounted to only $ 275 million, managed to increase sales by 45.8%.
