The Apple partner intends to increase the manufacturing capacities for the production of smartphones in India
According to sources, the company Wistron, which assembles iPhones in India, plans to expand production capacity in the country.
The new line will be built near Bangalore. Its planned production capacity is not yet known. Also it is still unknown whether there issue only iPhone or Wistron will produce and devices of other brands.
At the moment the company in India produces only iPhone SE as the most accessible of modern smartphones by Apple. It is assumed that the impetus to expansion was the doubling of Apple’s revenue in India. Unfortunately, more detailed sales data source is not shared.
