Testing contact lenses with autofocus is delayed

Novartis, working with the company holding Alphabet Verily, the most famous member of which is Google, has postponed the beginning of testing contact lenses with autofocus. Previously it was assumed that testing of the lens that allows you to help suffering from farsightedness, will begin before the end of this year.

According to the representative of Novartis referenced in the source, the company has not yet decided on a new date to start development testing. This applies to the other varieties smart contact lenses that monitor the blood sugar level.

The delay was technical difficulties. In 2014, the developers evaluated the time required for output of products on the market in five years. It’s only been two, so they still have time.
