Symantec buys LifeLock for $ 2.3 billion.

Symantec and LifeLock announced the signing of an agreement, under which Symantec will buy LifeLock for 2.3 billion dollars. The transaction has been approved by the boards of Directors of both companies. Subject to receiving shareholder approval and regulatory bodies, it will be completed in the first quarter of 2017.

According to Symantec, the purchase will combine the leader in the market of consumer solutions in the field of information security and a leading supplier of fraud protection and theft of personal data. Based on companies ‘ financial statements, we can predict that the total revenue after the acquisition will exceed 2.3 billion dollars.

Symantec expects to pay the purchase available funds and the new loan in the amount of $ 750 million.
