SpaceX will launch a space ship Red Dragon to Mars two years later than planned

Last year, the company SpaceX has announced its intention to send to Mars spacecraft Dragon 2 in 2018. It was not about a manned mission, but the plans still seemed to be very brave.

Unfortunately, as so often happens, the reality was more complicated. At the last press conference the SpaceX representative said that the ship Red Dragon (second Dragon’s name 2) most likely will not be ready for launch in 2018. The company at the moment need to concentrate on some other projects, in particular, on the carrier rocket Falcon Heavy. By the way, that she would have to deliver the Dragon to Mars.

Because of this, the launch of spacecraft to the red planet will be delayed for 2020. But it’s still two years earlier than planned in the beginning.
