SpaceX plans to send settlers to Mars in 2024
The head of the company SpaceX Elon Musk (Elon Musk), speaking at the 68th International Astronautical Congress (International Astronautical Congress), which was held in Australia, spoke about how you plan to use the BFR rocket.
We will remind, this week Elon Musk has presented a huge BFR rocket that can take you to anywhere in the world in less than an hour, while the tickets will not be more expensive than a normal ticket.
As mentioned in the text of the announcement, the BFR plan to use for missions to the moon and Mars. In seven years, SpaceX plans to land on the red planet’s first settlers. In the two years prior to that, SpaceX hopes to send to Mars two cargo missions with the necessary equipment, as well as to confirm or deny the existence of water and potential threats to humans.
In 2022, the company must begin construction of the energy infrastructure and life support, which should be ready for the arrival of the first settlers in 2024.
Later, in 2024 there will arrive two more ships that will deliver the necessary supplies. The first earthlings on Mars will have to prepare for the arrival of new waves of settlers, who will learn and explore his new home.
