Sony stops manufacturing the PS3 console

According to information published on the official website of PlayStation, Sony minimizes the production of the game console PlayStation 3.


The latest model of PS3, which is made in Japan, remains the version with a hard drive capacity of 500 GB. The site says that delivery will be terminated shortly.


The exact date of the termination of deliveries is not reported, but sources claim that production of the PlayStation 3 to be completed by the end of March this year.



The PlayStation 3 went on sale in November 2006. According to VGChartz, sales of the console during this time amounted to about 87 million units.
