SoC Helio X35 will be an overclocked version of the Helio X30
Less than two months ago operating officer of the company MediaTek Ms. Sangsoo (Zhu Shangzu) confirmed the characteristics of a single-chip system MediaTek Helio X30, which will have 10 cores.
The first smartphones with Helio X30 is only expected in early 2017, but we already have information about the following single-chip system, which will be called Helio X35.
Recall, Helio X30 will be produced using 10-nanometer technological process. MediaTek originally planned to use a 16-nanometer process technology, but in the end it was decided to switch to more modern technology.
As previously reported, in the Helio X30 will include two Cortex A73, clocked at 2.8 GHz, and two Quad-core clusters, with four Cortex A53 at 2.2 GHz and four Cortex A53 with a frequency of 2 GHz. As the GPU will be the PowerVR 7XT. Helio X35 will differ from Helio X30 frequency of the nuclei. Presumably, the Cortex A73 will work at frequencies up to 3 GHz.
We can say that MediaTek is following the path laid Qualcomm, who dispersed to their very popular Snapdragon 820 SoC, calling it Snapdragon 821.
