Snapdragon 835 is 50% more energy efficient SoC than the Snapdragon 801
The first details about the single-chip system Snapdragon 835 we published at the end of November last year. Details Qualcomm will tell this week during CES 2017, however, the slides of the upcoming presentation has been leaked to the Network.
According to new information, Snapdragon 835 will be applied to processing cores Kryo 280. Four cores will operate at a frequency of 2.45 GHz, four at a frequency of 1.9 GHz. Approximately 80% of the time smartphones with Snapdragon 835 will use the second cluster. This means that soon the market will be smartphones, which will possess not only outstanding performance, but also be able to work longer without recharging.
The manufacturer claims that the Snapdragon 835 is 50% more energy-efficient system-on-chip than Snapdragon 801. The SoC will feature Adreno 540 GPU which supports DX12, OpenGL ES and Vulkan, as well as LTE modem X16.
Snapdragon 835 produced using 10-nanometer technological process, the new SoC by size to be less than the Snapdragon 820. This will allow you to make thinner smartphones, or use higher capacity batteries.
