SK Hynix will provide for the expansion of production of memory chips to 2.7 billion dollars

Company SK Hynix announced the intention to invest in expanding production of memory chips in South Korea and China, $ 2.7 billion. The South Korean manufacturer, which is second in volume of production only Samsung Electronics, expects to benefit from growing demand for memory in connection with the popularity of mobile devices and SSDs.

This amount will be distributed as follows: 1,88 billion dollars will be spent to build a new factory in South Korea, where it plans to produce NAND flash memory, and the remaining funds, the expansion of the existing production DRAM in China.

As you know, the price of NAND flash memory are growing in recent years. Analysts believe that trend will continue in 2017.
