Sharp will release 8K TVs are designed for home use, in February 2018

During the exhibition IFA 2017, which is currently underway in Berlin, Samsung confirmed plans to release new TVs and monitors with large displays, the diagonal of which will be 8K, or 7680 x 7320 pixels.


It was also announced that Sharp and Foxconn Electronics are planning to create an appropriate supply chain of components for other products pertaining to 8K. It is, in particular, on the cameras, which will allow you to create content at this resolution.



Sharp plans to bring to market first 70-inch TVs that can display an image with a resolution of 8K, which is designed for home use in February of next year. Initially they will appear in Taiwan. In March, the new items will be released on the European market. The announcement of a new line will be held in October this year in China, then there will be announced prices.

In addition, Sharp will release a TV display diagonal of 60, 65 and 80 in the same solution.
