SAP and Google have become strategic partners

SAP company, one of the leaders in the market of enterprise applications, announced a strategic partnership with Google.

The aim of the cooperation is formulated as follows: «to help large enterprises to conduct business using cloud services with a high level of security, flexibility, scalability, and speed».

In particular, this means that SAP software products will run on the cloud platform Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Customers can use a secure and scalable cloud infrastructure to run Analytics and mission-critical applications in SAP HANA. The GCP platform will provide automated provisioning for certified SAP HANA database, supporting high security, availability, scalability and backup data recovery.

SAP plan to offer their products in the shop partner business Google apps for developers and customers of Google Cloud Launcher Marketplace. The first sign will be a SAP HANA express edition in version for developers with a complete development environment that allows you to create and test applications before deployment in the cloud.

Another area of partnership — providing a platform GCP access to the «infrastructure as a service» (IaaS) Cloud Platform SAP. It is assumed that the result of the joint efforts of the two developers of the company will be able to provide work on GCP technologies such as Kubernetes, with the corporate load. SAP IaaS Cloud Platform allows you to create enterprise cloud apps that use multiple services and API GCP and SAP Cloud Platform. In fact, SAP and Google become partners in the field of IaaS, hoping to expand the existing capabilities of the GCP due to the mutually developed solutions and bring enterprise applications to a new level.
