Samsung will release monitors with an aspect ratio of 29:9 and even 32:9

The monitors with aspect ratio 21:9 today are not a gimmick, but ordinary users are becoming more rare. For many, this ratio seems to be uncomfortable, although you may recall how the people at the time criticized the usual today monitors with an aspect ratio of 16:9 and 16:10.

But the ratio of 21:9 will be the last step in stretching monitors wide. According to the source, Samsung intends to start production of panels with an even more extreme by today’s standards geometry. So, it is reported on the 49-inch panel with a resolution of 3840 x 1080 pixels (DFHD, Double Full HD), which corresponds to the ratio 32:9 for which Samsung came up with its own name: the Grand Circle. It will be curved VA panel with a radius of curvature of 1800 mm. Contrast ratio reaches to 5000:1, and the frame rate is equal to 144 Hz, that is, the monitor on the basis of such a panel can be a game.

Also, the source says 44-inch panel with a resolution of 3840 x 1200 pixels with an aspect ratio of 29:9. This is also a VA panel with the same contrast value and the radius of curvature. Also know the color depth of eight bits.

The production of such panels is due to start in September this year, and this means that before the end of the year you can expect the first monitors with such screens.
