Samsung will help TCL Group to build a factory 11G that will produce the AMOLED panel
As we previously reported, Chinese company TCL Group creates a joint venture, which will produce the AMOLED panel on the substrate 11G. More specifically, the factory, to be built in Shenzhen, will be able to produce the liquid crystal panel and AMOLED panel on substrates with dimensions 3370 x 2940 mm. the Company will be able to handle 90,000 substrates per month.
Informed the joint venture participants, in addition to TCL Group, was named its subsidiary, China Star Optoelectronics Technology (CSOT) and the administration of Shenzhen, but it turned out to be another party — Samsung Display. In exchange for investments in the amount of 0,315 billion Samsung Display will receive 9,76% SP. Recall information about the negotiations between TCL Group and Samsung appeared in July.
The factory construction will begin before the end of the year. In January 2018 it should be completed, and in April of the same year will start the installation of the equipment. Serial production is scheduled to begin in April 2019.
