Samsung will double the rate of production of smartphones in India

Samsung Electronics plans to invest an additional approximately $ 624 million to expand its smartphone production in India.

At the moment, the area of the plant for the production of Samsung smartphones is located in the Indian city of Noida (Uttar Pradesh), is 120 thousand m2. The aforementioned amount will increase the plant area of 240 thousand m2.

After reconstruction, the factory can produce each month, not 5 million smartphones, as it is today, and 10 million in addition, the same plant should increase the rate of production of refrigerators to 200 thousand units per month.

The plant, founded in 1997, deals with smartphones, refrigerators and televisions. Samsung has another factory in India, where washing machines and air conditioners as well as refrigerators and televisions.
