Samsung showed the Z drive is SSD memory on Z-performance NAND with up to 750,000 IOPS

The first and only mention of SSD Z SSD based on the new flash memory Z-NAND dates back to last summer. And now Samsung has finally revealed such devices, at the same time revealing some of the parameters.

Demo MZ-PJB8000 PCIe characterized by a capacity of 800 GB, the speed of reading and writing at the level of 3.2 GB/s and read performance and write 750 000 and 160 000 IOPS respectively!

The delay is expected to be 70% lower than current SSD with NVMe support. As for endurance, these data, while Samsung does not.

To start on the market should appear in models 1, 2 and 4 TB. They will be branded Z-SSD. Terms of occurrence of devices on sale yet to be announced.
