Samsung SDI will open a factory for the production of batteries for electric vehicles in Hungary
Samsung SDI today announced that it has completed the reconstruction of a new factory producing batteries for electric vehicles, which is located 30 km from Budapest.
This plant from 2001 to 2014 were used for the production of plasma panels, but not so long ago the decision was made on renovation and change of profile of the enterprise.
The factory covers an area of 330 thousand m2 start of production is scheduled for the second quarter of next year. Assessment of Samsung SDI, the factory will be able to produce batteries for electric vehicles 50 thousand.
Samsung SDI has another two factories to manufacture batteries for electric vehicles, which are located in Korea and China.
