Samsung invests of 2.64 billion dollars in the expansion of production DRAM
According to the source, the company Samsung Electronics intends to invest a 2.64 billion in increased output memory type DRAM. Funds will be used for enterprise extension Line 17 in the Korean city of Hwaseong.
In the second half of the year on the factory Line 17 should begin production of 10-nanometer DRAM. The company produces not only DRAM, but also flash memory 3D NAND. In addition, the plans is the development of this factory production of logic chips.
In the future planned construction of a new factory next to Line 17. Most likely, it will produce a logical BIS according to the norms of 7 nm.
