Samsung increased the sales of mobile DRAM now is 64,5% of the market
TrendForce analysts estimate that sales of mobile DRAM in the third quarter grew by 16.8% QoQ and amounted to 4.59 billion.
The share of mobile DRAM accounted for 43,5% of the proceeds from sales of all memory of this type on the market. The source notes that the launch of the new iPhone, and the popularity of the Samsung Galaxy S7 were the main reasons for sales growth.
A market leader with a huge gap remains Samsung. The Korean giant increased its sales in the quarter by 22.2%, taking 64.5 percent of the market. Sales of mobile DRAM memory has brought the company to 2.96 billion dollars of revenue.
On the second place SK Hynix with a share of 22.8%. The company increased sales by 6% to 1,047 billion. Toshiba took third place, gained 487 million dollars, which is 8.3% more than in the previous quarter. As a percentage of ITC’s share is 10.6%.
Nanya sold products only at $ 59 million, but showed the biggest increase of 43.2%. The manufacturer employs 1.3% of the market.
