Samsung has patented a wireless charging station for smartphones, tablets and smart watches

Competition in the smartphone industry — a thing habitual. In September Apple introduced the iPhone X with an innovative front-facing 3D camera, after which it became known that Samsung may adopt a similar solution in the Galaxy S9.

Apple also announced a wireless charging station for smartphones and smart watches, and now Samsung has patented a device called the Dual Wireless Charging Pad. The relevant documents were filed in the U.S. patent office US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

This charge station will be smartphones, tablets, and smart watches that support the Qi standard. As can be seen in the illustration, you can simultaneously charge two devices.

Samsung regularly patents new ideas, but it is possible that this charging station will be released simultaneously with the Galaxy S9, which can get a cutout in the bottom for the fingerprint scanner and the neural processor.
