Samsung has created an investment Fund Automotive Innovation Fund for the financing of companies in the automotive market

It is no secret that large companies of the IT market in recent years actively interested in the automobile market. In General now it is clearly seen that companies such as automakers, are in a transition period in which the automotive segment beginning more and more to overlap with a segment of IT.

So Samsung announced that it has created an investment Fund Samsung Automotive Innovation Fund with a capital of $ 300 million, which will deal with investments exclusively in the automotive market.
The focus will be on technology related to connected and Autonomous vehicles. A variety of sensors, machine vision technology, security systems and so on.

The first company that will receive investment from the new Fund will become the TTTech, the technology involved in functional safety, deterministic networks, real time systems, complex software integration for driver assistance systems.

Samsung also reports that Harman, which now belongs to the Korean giant has created a new unit Autonomous/ADAS Strategic Business Unit (SBU). The specialists of this Department will work together with a team of Smart Machines center Samsung Strategy and Innovation Center, engaged in the development of key technologies in order to make connected cars safer and more intelligent.
