Today sources said that Samsung Display plans to begin production of OLED displays for the new iPhone 8 later this month.
An anonymous tipster has confirmed that Apple finally approved the prototype of the display, then Samsung Display has begun to place orders for components and materials.
Monthly Samsung Display plans to produce more than 10 million OLED displays for iPhone 8, and the total delivery until the end of the calendar year to exceed 80 million panels.
Recall, the first time Samsung Display will be the sole supplier of OLED displays for iPhone 8, but Apple thinks that in the end, to expand the vendor list.
Presumably, the announcement of the iPhone 8 will be held on September 17.
