Samsung begins mass production of 14-nanometer Exynos SoC 7570 with built-in wireless connectivity

Samsung Electronics announced the beginning of serial production of single-chip systems Exynos Quad 7 7570. This is the first Samsung SoC for entry-level mobile devices and the Internet of things, produced on 14-nanometer technology FinFET. In addition, this is the first Exynos SoC with integrated LTE modem Cat.4 2CA, adapters Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, FM and GNSS receivers.

Configuration Exynos 7570 includes four 14-nanometer Cortex-A53. They surpass their 28-nanometer predecessors on 70% performance and 30% energy efficiency. Moreover, through optimization and integration in the Exynos 7570 some nodes of the power controller and radio frequency circuits were able to reduce the space occupied by the chipset, by 20%.

A single-chip system Exynos 7570 supports resolution up to WXGA, the functions of recording and playback Full HD video, the connection of the front and main camera resolution up to 8 and 13 MP, respectively.
